A discussion about "Clean, Shared and Smart Mobility" was organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) within the scope of European Mobility Week on Thursday, September 21st at Yıldız Technical University (YTU) Civil Engineering Faculty. YTU academics, students, staff of IMM Transportation Department and İSBAK Inc. staff who are in charge of developing transport projects participated to the discussion.

The discussion started with the opening speeches of Esma DİLEK who is IMM’s Deputy Traffic Manager and Dr. Mustafa Sinan Yardım who is assistant professor at YTU Civil Engineering Faculty. Following the opening speeches, Kaan Yıldızgöz who is a Training Director of International Association of Public Transport (UITP) gave his speech titled “Integrated systems, Car Sharing and New Transportation Services”. Tolga Imamoglu, who is Road Safety Project Manager at World Resources Institute gave his speech titled "Sustainable Transportation". Volt Mobile Car Sharing Application’s CEO Ali HALABI, who is the last speaker of the discussion session, shared his mobile application development experience in Istanbul and presented his recent transport project that is based on service bus sharing system developed for Istanbul to be launched in the first quarter of 2018. After the presentations, the speakers answered the questions of the students and the participants.

After the discussion, speakers and participants exchanged information during the cocktail party. Esma DİLEK informed the participants about the IMM's clean, green and sustainable transportation solutions for Istanbul and Roadmaps for Energy (R4E) Project which is an EU funded project under the Horizon 2020 programme that aims to develop a new type of energy strategy through visions and roadmaps for the eight partner cities including İstanbul, in co-creation with relevant local stakeholders. The recent project reports on Smart Public Transportation and Smart Traffic Management in Istanbul including the activities carried out during the R4E Project were shared with participants.

The discussion, which provided an opportunity for information exchange and recent mobility solutions for "Clean, Shared and Smart Mobility" presented by experts and IMM Transportation Department staff, ended with the movie screening named "Human Scale".
